Our Story

Artwork for a Cause was founded on the idea of creating beautiful artwork for homes and offices, while helping give back to the local community. Founded in Charlottesville, Va by Aaron Watson Photography, 20% of all purchases are donated to a local cause in the Central Virginia area.

About Artwork for a Cause

Born out of the Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020, Artwork for a Cause was dreamed up as a way to share the beautiful landscape photography of Aaron & Lisa Watson, while helping support their employees, family and others around the local community of Charlottesville, VA during this hard time. 20% of the proceeds from each artwork sold is directly donated to local causes and charities, with a new cause selected each month.

Artwork for a Cause is an extension of Aaron Watson Photography, which was founded in 2007 and strives to deliver the best photography for weddings, family portraits and commercial clients. Their work is frequently featured worldwide in numerous publications such as National Geographic, HGTV, Martha Stewart Weddings, Huffington Post, Style Me Pretty, The Knot Magazine, Brides, Inside Weddings, Virginia Living, Charlottesville Wine & Country and many more.

Aaron Watson Photography continues to actively supports many organizations, schools and charities within the Charlottesville community through donations, fundraisers and photography aimed at helping raise awareness. About Aaron Watson

Aaron Watson began his professional photography career in 2004 and founded Aaron Watson Photography in 2007. Since then he has traveled the world photographing over 400 weddings, hundreds of families, and received multiple awards and honors. Along the way he has captured the beauty of countless stunning landscapes and iconic landmarks, from which he has created Artwork for a Cause.

Today Aaron photographs alongside with his wife Lisa, and together the enjoy sharing their passion for photography with their son Hunter. Artwork for a Cause is a way for them to share their beautiful landscape photography with others while helping the local Charlottesville community that they call home.
